A conversation that my husband, Jamie, and I keep having is how we don’t want to settle for an average marriage. Not even a good marriage. We want a great marriage. And although neither of us is perfect, we’ve worked hard to make sure we continue to be present in our marriage. I’ve compiled a list of resources – books, movies and retreats – that we’ve either used ourselves or that have been highly recommended to us. I hope that this list is as helpful to you as it has been for us:

The Most Important Year in a Woman’s Life/The Most Important Year in a Man’s Life, by Robert and Bobble Wolgemuth and Mark and Susan DeVries
The Five Love Languages, by Gary Chapman
His Needs, Her Needs, by Willard Harley
Love & Respect, by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs
I Don’t Want a Divorce, by Dr. David Clarke
Sheet Music, by Dr. Kevin Leman
Intended for Pleasure, by Dr. Ed Wheat and Gaye Wheat
Fireproof the movie
Weekend to Remember conference
Love it Like You Mean It marriage cruise
